Greedy Government Won't Get to Tax Flatulence
Stunned by protests and mockery, New Zealand's greedy government has dropped a scheme to tax farmers for their livestock's flatulence.
Farmers, meat processors and straight-thinking people of all stripes formed a Fight Against Ridiculous Taxes to ridicule the leftist government of Prime Minister Helen Clark into dropping the plan, dreamed up by the "global warming" Chicken Littles.
"As livestock belch and emit wind, they release methane, and nitrous oxide is released from their waste," CNSNews.com noted Wednesday. Self-described environmentalists claimed the stinky gases made Earth hotter.
Charlie Pedersen, vice president of Federated Farmers of New Zealand, said, "Farmers will be relieved that the government looks to have finally got the FART tax out of its system."
